Images P 25 - - - - This is the oldest engine recorded so far, a 1926 5 hp 'P' and amazingly still runs with original paint work BCG 40243 (a) BCG 40243 (b) BCG 40243 (c) 4 cylinder 1951 coupled to a alternator ATU 20kw 240/415 volt. This engine is in amazing original condition with lots of original paint work. This engine can be seen at M.S.T.E.C Melbourne 4 cylinder 1946 The BGC can be set to run at 900rpm for 31.8hp, 1000rpm for 35hp, 1100rpm for 39hp and 1200rpm for 42hp This engine is unrestored, but still runs well ETB 47893 -1954 2 ½ hp at 1500 rpm an original looking engine seen on E Bay AC S Africa -5 hp These engine were made by Southern Cross South Africa and were a copy of a Wolseley and they were never sold in Australia YB gen 32957 1949 An original unit that should look good when restored. Purchased from junk yard in Leeton where it had sat out in the open for maybe 40 years BEC 42709 (a) BEC 42709 (b) 2 cylinder year 1952 this engine looks very original. The BEC can be set to run at 900rpm for 15hp, 1000rpm for 16.6hp .1100rpm for 18.3hp and 1200rpm for 20hp ECU 57904 (a) ECU 57904 (b) 1959 4hp at 1500rpm a nicely restored engine |

31001 Engine number - year 1949 Type AXC Restored Devon - in Victoria 31071 Engine number - year 1948 AXCYear 1948 Sydney NSWCrank shaft turns OK and the engine looks reasonably clean. When I pulled the covers off it looks like the engine had run out of oil, and melted the white metal bearing. Connecting rod has loosened up enough on crank to give sufficient free play for the end cap to collect on the crank and rip it off. Piston has fallen down and as the crank has turned it's collected the connecting rod and smashed the bottom of the piston up to the pin. Able to save compression rings though. Picked this up on ebay in 2006 from Griffith. The guy had bought it to restore with his kids but decided not to and sell instead. Sold this and engine 30942 together with a centrifugal irrigation pump. given to me. When collected in late 2005, the motor was complete but seized. It is on original base, but other parts (fuel tank, fuel tank stands, water tank) were scattered around property.
